Description
Join Kateri Sparrow for deep relaxation and inner healing featuring 6 quartz crystal singing bowls, tingsha, chimes, drum, gong and voice.
During this 90-minute deep meditation, we will begin with centering breathwork and neuroaffective touch, a somatically derived form of self applied touch to help integrate mind and body.
Through intention, deliberate breathing and meditation, we will create an energy field that has the potential to facilitate the experience of non-ordinary states of awareness. No prior experience necessary. No outside agents needed. All of this work is done with your breath and your mind…and a little help from the soothing vibrations of the crystal bowls.
The frequencies of the bowls cause the cells in our body to vibrate facilitating the release of stuck and stagnant energy. As this ‘old’ energy begins to move and shift, ‘fresh’ healing energy begins to circulate through the mind, body and Spirit promoting deep, multi-dimensional healing.
Participants are welcome to bring their crystals or other sacred items they would like charged with energy, as well as a journal to capture what arises. Please wear comfortable clothing.
Intention of the Hive
When you join a Hive experience, you're invited into our intention to create a group experience that's inclusive, rooted in mindfulness, and dynamically relational. We aspire for each Hive experience to model these intentions, and even to refine them as we continue to learn how to gather in a way that's transformative! The embodiment of these intentions by Hive facilitators, Members, and class participants is what makes the Hive the unique and healing social container that many experience it to be. More About the Facilitators
Kateri Sparrow
has participated in the formal study of integral sound healing techniques, vibro-acoustic massage, and she is a certified practitioner of sound therapies.
Kateri has been working as an end of life caregiver and as an activities director for a private nursing home. It is in the nursing home that she discovered the impact of music therapy and sound healing with the residents while leading her own music programs and working with music therapists. Kateri noted the powerful release of tension and boost in mood not only for the residents, but also for the caregivers. It was these experiences that brought Kateri to explore sound as medicine.
