Description
Spend an afternoon with artist Rowe Schnure and trauma-informed therapist LaShanda Sugg to explore the powerful impact of using creativity to navigate the day-to-day emotions like grief, joy and everything in between. Communal creative space is an opportunity to receive support and encouragement for a practice that can be hard to prioritize in the midst of everyday responsibilities. Together we will experiment with various mark making techniques using everyday materials and play with different mediums.
Whether you have a regular art practice, never had one, or your practice needs rejuvenating, we welcome you to come and release limiting beliefs around what art is and discover the artist within. Just bring yourself, an open heart, and curiosity - we provide the supplies.
Intention of the Hive
When you join a Hive experience, you're invited into our intention to create a group experience that's inclusive, rooted in mindfulness, and dynamically relational. We aspire for each Hive experience to model these intentions, and even to refine them as we continue to learn how to gather in a way that's transformative! The embodiment of these intentions by Hive facilitators, Members, and class participants is what makes the Hive the unique and healing social container that many experience it to be.
